You will be joining the Municipal Services Team which is virtually paperless, using portable tablets and mobile devices for daily work operations. We focus on innovation and encourage ‘out of the box’ thinking to differentiate our public health services from that of other Councils.

About the role
As Coordinator Environmental Health, you will be responsible for minimising public health risks within the community by; undertaking investigations and mitigating actions in response to infectious disease, coordinating regular inspections with food sampling, coordinating complaints/issues in relation to nuisances and pest control, providing Environmental Health advice, implementing the Domestic Wastewater Management Plan, undertaking food safety assessments and more!

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below;

  • Undergraduate or post graduate qualifications/majors in public and/or environmental health
  • High level experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge of issues relating to the Victorian local government sector in Australia.
  • Excellence in customer service provision and development.
  • Superior knowledge of wastewater treatment disposal systems
