Band 6 $76,104 - $82,838 per annum plus 9.5% statutory superannuation
Wellington Shire Council seeks to appoint a full time Environmental Health Officer who can provide environmental health management services that maintain and improve the liveability, health and safety of the community. The officer will be responsible for conducting assessments, inspections and participating in environmental health monitoring and the provision of relevant educational programs.
To be successful, you will be a qualified Environmental Health Officer and have the ability to apply legislation across the environmental health field. In addition to this, you will have well developed communication, negotiation and customer service skills which will assist you when liaising with clients regarding a diverse range of environmental health issues.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate how they meet the criteria below:
- Tertiary qualification in Health Science or equivalent.
- Accountable for meeting the legislation objective of the role
- High level of analysis of a range of options when determining recommendations for inspections and registrations.
- Extensive experience in inspection, review and approvals of septic tanks, food and micrological sampling, undertaking investigations, planning and regulatory processes as they relate to Environmental Health.
- Excellent communication skills, relationship management and negotiation skills.
